Hazel's is THE place to go for a quick and yummy hotdog lunch! I was initially attracted to Hazels' after I kept seeing their parking lot packed with workers' trucks and lines out to the street! Don't let this scare you off though! The service is extremely fast and you'll be on your way in no time! I love the Spicydog (not too hot, but it has a great kick), hand cut french fries, and a cold soda. They serve all types of hotdogs and I believe they have some sausage/brats on the menu (but I can't be too sure of it).They only take cash, which is a bummer sometimes, but they're right next to a gas station if you needed to hit up the ATM. Hazel's isn't fancy, but they're not trying to be. You won't be disappointed with this choice.

Tried this place thanks to Yelp, otherwise you'd probably skip this place. Small with minimal seating but they more than make up for it with great dogs. The Spicy Dog is a must try! Not too spicy and FULL of flavor. This place is a must visit spot if you're in St. Augustine. For the people complaining about the lack of seating, I'd lay flat on the asphalt parking lot in order to enjoy another spicy dog!

Look .... Imagine this a Hot dog stand that has hand cut fries a Hot Dog stand where you can get it any way you want it . People come from all over just to eat their Hot dogs ! Locals stand in line to eat here . I talked to a couple that drives 2 hours about every week just to get their Hazel fix!!! I can not say anymore its making my mouth water A damm Hot dog stand nothing more nothing less . No Burgers, sushi, chicken nuggets , tacos a Hot Dog Stand!

Great place for a quick lunch! My fiancé and I were recently in Saint Augustine for a few days and after reading the reviews on Yelp! About this place we just had to stop by! I had 2 bacon dogs and she had a spicy dog and a chili cheese dog we shared a large fry I got a soda and she got a milk shake all for under $20! Both of our dogs were delicious, and the large fry was more then enough for the two us to share and the milk shake was amazing( made with real strawberries!) overall we will defiantly be stopping by Hazel's again next time we are in town!

IDK how this place gets such high reviews... not that I didn't enjoy it... Good price, cash only, but the food was just a-ok. Got the spicy dog and fries with sweet tea. Good fries, okay spicy dog. There's a couple of picnic tables to the side so it's a good place to enjoy the dogs.

Hazel's Hot Dogs, would have never stopped by if it hadn't been for a friend in the car that had eaten there. What a great little stand. The selection of dogs is great! I am not a fan of hand cut, thick fries but these were awesome. I couldn't keep stealing them from my daughter. The prices are good. Parking could get tricky on a busy day. But swing by anyway. You will be glad you did!

Try the spicy dog! Ya know, I'm not really one to eat hot dogs, but when I have a craving I now know where to get my fix! I was out in St. Augustine last weekend and stopped here for hotdogs. The place itself is very unassuming. A typical park and walk up spot where the dogs are cooked in the back and emerge with greatness. I'm super plain and got a simple hot dog with ketchup and mustard. My honey, on the other hand got the Spicy dog (has sauerkraut on top) and the Datil dog (has datil peppers, relish and onions). (Or maybe I'm completely wrong because the Spicy dog wasn't spicy?? I'm not sure, I'll update that later haha) The dog itself snapped a little when you ate it; it was a new texture and I enjoyed it. They were also thinner; different from your typical ballpark frank. The fries were awesome! I'll go again for sure. It's cheap, good, and they have ice ceam! You can't go wrong.

Lived in St augustine for over ten years and just visited this place today, tried a spicy dog and bratwurst dog and shared some chili cheese fries. Everything was among and I'd highly recommend this place to anyone who would like to try something out of the norm

First time to Hazel's. For those that know me, you know I love a good hot dog, this was one of the best. Tried the local favorite, "The Spicy Dog". It didn't disappoint. Great flavor, not to spicy, just right and of course, it had Datil peppers on it.... Food was hot, came out fast and the service was friendly. If you love hot dogs like me, if you're in Saint Augustine you have to stop.

These are the best hotdogs in St. Augustine!!!! We love to eat here. Hazels has their hotdogs made especially for them and shipped in. The outside skin "pops" with each bite. Pair that with Hand cut fries and a table in the fresh air and you have lunch at Hazels!!!! Awesome!!!!

I can rarely resist trying these types of roadside stands when traveling to a area for a day trip. I rather eat small portions all day long than sit down to a full size lunch or dinner unless that is specifically the destination or original plan. This allows me to experience the local culture and always offers a variety which I throughly enjoy, so when I spotted Hazel's Hot Dogs I quickly made a trip around the block and pulled in, of course I yelped it first. I usually like to keep it simple and try the basic offerings this usually gives me a snap shot of what they are serving up and most of the time represents the basis of why they decided to open their door to the public in the first place. So today I chose a simple chili dog and bottle of water, the chili dog was served up in a styrofoam contained sized to fit a single dog, a simple paper wrap would of met the requirement since I was going to eat the dog onsite and lessened the impact on the local landfill but that's a different issue. The hotdog bun was soft and fresh and slightly warm but not toasted it made a great platform, the hotdog itself was a little disappointing I prefer all beef but this appeared to be a combination of ingredients that I couldn't identify or really cared to, this was covered in a nice tasting chili but had beans in it not that I have anything really against bean but I would of liked to have had the no bean option. I can see the popularity of this place by the sheer number of people stopping in, but this is a tourist area and it seems to work but I'm not sure it's a local hangout, so in my opinion it's just okay the staff was friendly and it appears to be clean so give it a try and form your own opinion.

Best fries in town. Maybe in the state. My husband gets the spicy dog. I don't care for mustard, so I get the salsa dog with salsa, cheese, onions and jalapeños. Tiny place with minimal seating. But, when you want fries that is the place to go.

WOW!!!!! I mean wow-town, this is such a sweet little spot. If you are around St. A, you must stop here. The dogs are perfect, I got one with Datil Mustard, it was spot on, and so reasonably priced. My gal got the basic combo, and the fries are knock out. This is a great, easy, quick alternative to the tourist trap restaurants this city is known for. Support a great local establishment! The dogs are great, fries are great, it is great! And affordable. A must for any dog lover!

Stopped in for lunch during a day trip to St. Augustine. Ordered the spicy dog, bacon and cheese dog, and fries. Food was very reasonably priced and prepared quickly. The fries were my favorite part of the meal! They were freshly cut and delicious! Of the two hotdogs, I preferred the flavor of the spicy dog. Overall, a nice quick bite to eat for the price!

Nothing better than the spicy dog. Ok, it's a hot dog (and ice cream) stand. Nothing fancy. You sit outside, under shade, on picnic benches. But, it's a great hot dog. Just a great hot dog. They use datil mustard and a spicy relish. It's a really good spicy dog. I find myself running errands around lunch time just so I can drop in.

Stopped here because I saw so many cars/people; so I figured it must be good; worse case they have a lot of turnover. Holy smokes what a great dog! Best I ever had in Florida, although Pete's hot dogs (Snapper's) in Newburgh, NY are still #1 to me. Their fries are very good, fast service, and very inexpensive. No credit cards accepted.
